Hello, Paul. I have Ira Edgar Hughen,b.1898, d.1967. He m. Grace(?). He was a twin of Irie Edwin Hughen, who died before 1918.These boys were the sons of William Washington Hughen and Sarah Elizabeth James,m.June 2,1882 . Other children were George, William Henry, Christopher Columbus (called Lum), Earl Hicks, Annie Elizabeth, and John Wesley. William W. was the son of George W. Hughen and Mary Elizabeth (called Martha) Meeks. William was b.1860, in Montgomery Co, AR, probably in Black Springs on the Caddo River. He d. about 1913. His brother was George Britton Hughen (called Bud) b, 1862. Martha died at this time or shortly after. George was away in the Army. He came home on leave and settled his little boys with their maternal grandparents, the Britton Meeks family.George later married a second time and my grandfather was from that marriage.
