Hi, William Natteress Huggins born 15 Dec 1866 at Monkwearmouth Colliery to Jane Huggins.
No father is named on the birth certificate, but we know that Jane (nee Roddenby)was married to Thomas Huggins in 1848 but that he died in 1861 - so not William's father. Jane subsequently married Michael Nattress on 21 Jan 1867 at Sunderland. Michael dies at Shotton Colliery 1870.
William Natteress Huggins later married Isabella Smales (nee Isabel Croudace) in 1887 in Sunderland, and names his father as Joseph Huggins; the couple generally give their children as Nattrass Huggins.
My paternal Grandfather is their son George Nattrass Huggins born 17.11.1889 at Sunderland. William dies at Easington, about 1947/8.
I am looking for any relevant family information or connections. Can anyone help? In particular does anyone have any knowledge of the above Jane as a Nattress or a Huggins, and marrying a Joseph Huggins?
