Delighted to hear from you so quickly.I can't go into detail now as I need some sleep, but, hey (as people say now), Roland had a tough start, what with his parents divorcing and all.He probably didn't have a clue as to what to do with a motherless child.(This was before formula was invented, and men were not supposed to know how to deal with babies or maybe even toddlers.)
Then his second marriage ended childless, with Phebe's tragic death at a young age, not long after her mother died.I think Rollin was close to his mother in law (Rebecca (______) Wyatt Strayer, sine he paid for her very nice tombstone in Deedsville, Indiana. Then he married Mary Joseph Henn, and their only son turned out to be an alcoholic.Lots of challenges!
Welcome back to the family!
