Harriet: I am advised that Old Marriage records in Loudoun Co. are diffused due to neglect and/or disinerest on the part of people in charge. Different people over the years attempted reconstruct such records. Aurelia M. Jewell was one of the folks that helped reconstruct records. On record I found recently in indicated Jacob Huffman m. Catherine Koist 22 Jun 1799 in Loudoun Co. I searced for both names and found her father but no further record of the Koist family. This applies to 3 of the daughters of Benjamin Davis Sarah, Elizabeth and Rachel. Sarah may have m. Isaac Myers. Elizabeth may have m. Samuel Taylor and Rachel many have m. Benjamin Drake.

The only hiers, of John Huffman who d. in Loudoun Co. in 1792 are Margaret and 3 sons Henry, Peter, and Phillip. Phillip, apparently the oldest son received the plantation but in 1791 John Huffman, Jr. paid the taxes and may have continured intil he m. Sarah Ann Goodwin in 1796. See Loudoun Co.
