BLANCHE L. HUFFMAN
May 15, 1908

The death of Miss Blanche L. Huffman, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Philip F. Huffman, which occurred on Thursday morning shortly after nine o'clock, was a great shock to her many friends, many of whom did not know that she was seriously ill. She had been a sufferer from diabetes for several years and her death occurred after an illness of but a few days, being caused by heart failure, brought on by the above-mentioned disease.
Blanche L. Huffman was born in Crescent City, Ill., on June 22, 1882, and came to Chatsworth with her parents in the spring of 1890, having made this village her home the greater portion of the sime since. She was the first child of Philip F. and Emma E. Huffman, and is survived by her bereaved parents, three brothers and three sisters, namely: Philip W., Harland E., Nathan I., Mertie M., Edith E. and Emma E., Jr. (sic)
The funeral services were held at the M.E. church this (Friday) afternoon at 1:45 o'clock and the remains taken to Gilman on the 3:13 train for interment.
