I don't have a lot on Mary Alice Huff, but i will post what I do know and hope it will help you! Her husband was Valentine Seiver Bible, this was His 2nd marriage. His 1st was to Louise A. Harmon(1857-1887). He remarried to Mary Alice Huff on Dec 9 1890. I verified this by finding the marraige record in Green County, TN. Louise Harmon , Valentine S. Bible and Mary Alice are all burried in Pottertown "Harmon" Historic Cemetery Midway, Greene, TN. Also burried there are 2 infant children of Mary and Valentine,Bonnie G. Bible(1892-1892) and Jonas Harr Bible(1898-1899). My great grandmother was Alta Omega Bible, she was born March 3,1894 and died July 3 1976. She married William Tee Gillette. I don't know if Mary Alice had a former husband or not, but I found a few Mary Alice Huffs' in census listed as Mulatto. No one in my family on this line are black, but mulatto was used for Natives, Mixed,
and other non whites as well. As I stated in the last post My dad and granddad always told us we had Cherokee in us from my great grandmother Alta Omega Bible. I know from the Bible Genealogy pages that Valentine's family were from Germany and you can find it at :
