Charles HUFF, Jr (c 1760 ME - Apr 1799 on a ship passage from Lemarary to Kennebunkport) was a Rev. War veteran who served in Capt Tobias Lord's Comp from 18 Mar 1776 until 25 Nov 1776, 8 mos, 9 days.This company was stationed at Falmouth, Cumberland Co, for coastal defense.Charles later served in Capt Joshua Nason's Comp, Col Sorer's Regt from 14 Aug 1777 until 30 Nov 1777, 4 mos, 3 days.He was also in the Northern Army, including 15 days travel home (300 miles) from Queman's Heights.
On 30 Oct 1786 in Arundel, ME, Charles md Grace SMITH (20 Apr 1768 - 24 May 1818), dau of Capt William and Elizabeth (BURNHAM) SMITH.Their ch were:

After Charles d, Widow Grace HUFF md Widower John MITCHELL as his third wife.His second wife had been her older sister, Mary (SMITH) MITCHELL.Later two of Mary MITCHELL's daus md sons of Grace HUFF, making first cousin marriages.Grace and John MITCHELL had three MITCHELL ch.
Huff lineage is Charles, Jr, and Grace (Smith) of ME; Charles and Priscilla (Burbank); Thomas and Sarah (Ferris); Ferdinando and Mary (Moses) of MA and ME; prob. Atherton and Susanna (Kimball) Hough of England and MA;
