Margaret:
The 1850 Robertson County Elizabeth is not Michael's wife - I know she is related but at this point I am not sure where she fits in.
Mary Elizabeth Hudson, Michael's wife, was born about 20 March 1818 in Alabama, and was living with Michael in Hays County in 1850, 1860 and 1870. She is then listed in 1900 in the household of her son (Michael died in 1877) , James Ellis in Llano County. She died in 1902 and is buried next to Michael.
John Hudson and Miriam Delilah Boren were married in Warren Co., KY , July 22, 1811.On a land grant I found recently, it says they immigrated to Texas in 1829 - however, on the land commissioners report dated Jan - Feb 1838, it shows a land grant for John Hudson with the asignee of Delilah McCullough. Miriam Delilah had a second marriage to James A. McCullough and was a McCullough when she died in Robertson County in May 1847.
I am beginning to believe that the John Hudson probated in Robertson County in 1843 is NOT the same John.If Delilah McCULLOUGH was assignee for land owed to John Hudson, he may died between 1829 and 1838.
Hope that helps!Feel free to e-mail me personally if you would like page numbers for the census documents or anything else!
