Trying to make contact with the person who some years ago posted on Ancestry.com that her grandmother was a Huddleston whose family also had used the spelling Hudelson, and who were reflected in a Kentucky census (date unspecified.) This family supposedly had roots in Virginia.
My Hudelsons were in Bourbon, Nicholas and Harrison Counties, KY from about 1800 until about 1831. There were at least three other lines of Hudelsons also there in that time frame.
The 1880 census for Nicholasville, Jessamine County, KY shows a "D. Hudelson (b. 1819) and wife Margrett Hudelson (b. 1819) with daughters E.J. (b. 1853), Lina (b. 1854), "S. Hudelson" (b. 1861), and Dora (b. 1871), as well as son Peter Hudelson (b. 1858).
The 1880 census for Meade County, KY shows an Anna Hudelson, and also a William Hudelson and wife Lucy Hudelson (b. 1857) with children Bettie Hudelson (b. 1878) and son James Hudelson (b. 1878).
Wonder who might know the pedigrees and families of these Hudelsons.
Dave Hudelson, NC
