Dave, I had hoped when the net came along, that we would get to straighten out the Huddlestons.
Well, that has not happened. It is worse. DNA is the only hope left. The results of those that have tested is working.
Subject: John and Elizabeth Charlton Huddleston? Where is the PROOF for this pair. I have searched the records for years. I have never found, even ONE record of proof that either one of them ever existed, in the USA. I have asked for years, for just one piece of paper. Huddleston researchers. like to play the role of "Big Shot", "Know It All". They will not give out their proof, because they do not have proof. We have too many searchers, that just copy and paste, and put their name on what some one else has, stated, of which was just playing the role of “BIG SHOT”. I gave out my research records in the beginning, but I no longer do that, because, they still will not believe what they are given as PROOF. They do not want to know that there is no proof. People are making matters worse, by placing this incorrect info on the net.

Lockie Ball, great grand daughter of John Huddleston, NOT JOHN DAVID, Huddleston of Claiborn Co.Tn. Born 1868. She wanted to join the DAR so badly, that she bought her way in.
But mind you, she believed what she was told by her family historian. Question is, was it the truth or POP OFF. I believe the history is not true, because, I have not found a recorded to support her claim.
1909 she applied to join the DAR, she had only a family lineage, she was turned down. Source : Pay your Ten Dollars to the DAR and get a copy of her application. About 1911, 1912, she applied again, she gave as her source, a 1776 letter, that was changed from the original. Source: Pay your Ten Dollars and get a copy from the DAR. Here the copy and paste began. She then paid someone in England to trace here lineage. Which was done, and sent to her in Batesville Ar.
She had the lineage on her living room wall. Her Grand daughter had it last I knew of it, several years ago. I never saw it. Could not get past the guardians.

Here is our "genealogy" from Captain Daniel Huddleston on back. Lockie Ball Barnett descendant, in Ark paid quite a bit to have this done.
