Cynthia Spangler Martin was born in VA in 1795 and died in 1871. She was a sister of Elizabeth Spangler's, who was md to Solomon Huddleston. Cynthia was md to William Martin. They had four children; Mary, Peter, Nathan and Benjamin. Benjamin was born in Ripley County, IN in 1829. I could not find a record of Cynthia and William's marriage in 'Kanawha County Marriages 1800-1813'. I would guess they were married in Ohio.
There are two Martins, Job and Joesph, listed in the 1810 Federal Census of Cabin Creek, Kanawha County, VA (WV). I do not have any record of other family members.
Additionally, there is a William Martin listed as owning 80 acres in Section 25, Township 10, Range 11, Ripley County, IN. Deed was recorded 24 Mar 1834. I am quite sure that is the William Martin you're looking for. There was a number of the Spangler girls living in that area at that time. Also, there is a William Martin listed as buying a lot in Spanglerville (town plotted by John Spangler that no longer exists) in Dec 1837.
Cynthia is mentioned in both John Spangler and Christiana Spangler's wills (her mother and father). In both estate settlements, she is listed as Widow Martin. Both estate settlements were in 1848 so her husband, William, must have been deceased by that time.
