James HUDDLESTON/Margaret COOKE abt 1809 Greenville, SC
I am seeking to find more information about this couple.
James HUDDLESTON b: abt. 1790 and Margaret COOKE b: 6 July 1789.
According to Cooke family history, they married about 1809 in the Greenville dist. of SC.
I am wondering if the above James HUDDLESTON may be the son of Benjamin HUDDLESTON (b: 1763 Halifax, VA). Benjamin was living in the same area and was also a witness to a land transaction in 1794 in the Greenville dist. SC for another ancestor, Robert GOODGION.
Plus, a William GOODGION married Sarah L. COOKE bef 1799 and Sarah is a sister to Margaret COOKE.
Sarah and Margaret COOKE are the daughters of Robert Fielding COOKE and Susannah WATSON. The Cookes moved to the Greenville area about 1791.
Knowing how families stayed together in those days, it seemed fitting that this may be the case for the union of James Huddleston and Margaret Cooke.
Any help in sorting this out and gaining more information would be most appreciated! Thank You in Advance and Happy Researching to All!
