Huddlestuns of Hampshire Co., Virginia
Is anyone able to link these various Huddlestun’s to a root family?These all married into the Larimore family, which moved from Hampshire County, West Virginia, to Knox, Licking, and Delaware Counties, Ohio.
(1) Penniah HUDDLESTON married Isaac Hawkins, who was born in Hampshire County, (West) Virginia, 31 May 1821, son of Joseph Hawkins and Sarah Larimore.Penniah said to be a dau. of Henry HUDDLESTON and Mary Slack, but I can find no evidence of this.Penniah and Isaac lived Knox Co., Ohio.
(2) Hester or Esther HUDDLESTON, born 1819, married 17 October 1839, James Hawkins, born Hampshire County, West Virginia, 25 March 1819.Hester died in 1894.James died in 1894 and is buried with his wife Hester at Hall Cemetery, near Lock, Knox Co., Ohio.
(3) James HUDDLESTUN, who was born 9 March 1817, married Mary Ann ("Polly") Smith, born Hampshire County, Virginia, 27 August 1821.He died 31 August 1862 (?).Mary Ann married second, in Licking County, Ohio, 10 October 1841 (?), Henry Barcus (888).Polly died 31 July 1869.
(4) Thomas Larimore ("Tom"), born Hampshire County, Virginia, circa 1801-02, married first, at Romney, Hampshire County, Virginia, 6 August 1825, Rachel Haines.Thomas married second, in 1832, Jemima HUDDLESTON, who was born in Virginia 1805-07. Lived Knox Co., Ohio.
