Alpha is a she. Darling is a he. On the 1880 census, Darling is married to his first wife Sarah Jane Gantt.I found Alpha (Listed as Althea) on the 1910 census with Darling. Darling died in 1928. Alpha is listed as a widow on the 1930 Census. She died Oct. 18, 1933. All censuses are in Aiken County, either Giddy Swamp or Hopewell.If you ever find anything about her, would you let me know.What I have stated is all that I know. Her death certificate doesn't list her parents.Thanks.
