Huck/Hook- WI-MN
My husbands gg-grandmother was Fredericke Wilhelmina Huck. Born 1840 in Prussia, she immigrated with her parents about 1845-46. They are first found in the town of Theresa, Dodge Co., WI. Christian Frederick Huck, wife Christina Maria, children Ernest, Christian F, William C, Frederick W, John, and Fredericke. Fredericke marries Henry Ferguson in 1858 in Washington Co, and by the 1870 c. the Huchs are there too in the town of Wayne. Several of her brothers fight in the Civil War. Ernst is later in Winona, MN, Christian becomes a constable in Dodge Co, Frederich and wife Eleise are found in 1880 in Sauk Co., WI. Henry and Fredericke move right after the Civil War to Kandiyohi Co, MN, along with other Fergusons. They move to Meeker Co., MN and later up to Nevis in Hubbard Co., MN. I have of course found many spellings for the family name, but most common is Huck, Hucke or Hook. They came from Saxony, and Christian and Maria died around 1880 in Winona. If any of these Hucks look familiar, I would love to share. Rita
