John McCaleb and his first wife had 10 children living with them on the 1830 census. Two females were in the right age category to have been Eritha, but without names on the census, it is hard to tell. Both of those daughters were gone by the 1840 census. Eritha didn't marry in Saline Co. until 1842, but she was not on the 1840 census with Joseph Huchingson or John Grover Huchingson. (I haven't checked her other kin in the area.)
I think John McCaleb's first wife died about 1838. John had a much younger wife on the 1840 census. There was a child born 1837. Then there was a five year gap to the next one b. 1842/1843 who was clearly the child of the second wife. This gap leads me to believe that John remarried just before the 1840 census.
