In the will of William Humbert dated May 8, 1849 it states that Hannah Humbert (daughter) was married to Jacob Hubler residing in Indiana. My gg grandfather was the son of Hannah and John Putt and in the Civil War records he is listed as Oliver Hubler alias Oliver Putt I have hit a brick wall when it comes to Oliver, the 1850 census lists Isaac age 28 occupation farmer and Oliver age 9, my Oliver was born in 1842 so it may fit. Hannah Hubler is listed in the 1850 Mortality Index in Allen County although the age isn't exactly right she was b.10 June 1820 I beleive it may be Oliver's mother, it would answer the question, why she doesn't appear in any other census as to Jacob, I haven't a clue. Anyone out there with any information please help.
