Hi Laurice, Brenda, et al. I am Brenda's Uncle Bill - her father Doug and I are brothers. We are the sons of Frank and Viola Hubka. Frank is William Rinker Hubka's brother.
I recently contacted a fellow through Ancestry.com who furnished me with a family tree of my grandmother Sarah Ellen Rinker Hubka who was married to my grandfather William Frank Hubka. Sarah's tree is traced back to Revolutionary War-era people on her father's side and to some folks in Cheshire, England on her mother's side even earlier.
I have a copy of cousin Bert's research work here and have had fun going through it. She included a page written by Uncle Charlie (my grandfather's brother) describing the family's hard life in Kansas and eastern Colorado in the time around 1900.
