I have been told Waitstill Hubble was the daughter of Levi Hubble and Mary Hays. Levi was the son of Justus David Hubble and Waitstill Bishop. Waitstill Hubble married Joseph L. Rusk in Pulaski Co. KY 8 March 1827.
Their daughter Sirilla/Syrilda Rusk married Shelby Lewis 2-04-1844. The application was granted in Putnam Co. IN. I understand they lived in Shelby Co. IN. Some children were born there. They lived for a while in Van Buren Co. IA, then settled in Grundy Co. MO. Shelby and Syrilda Rusk Lewis are buried in Galt East cemetery, Grundy Co. MO.
Joseph L.Rusk and Waitstill Hubble Rusk are buried at the old Lindley cemetery Grundy Co. MO. Waitstill died 4-01-1871, age 63 yrs 6 mos. 19 days. Joseph Rusk died 08-11-1870, age 68 yrs 10 mos. 14 days.
