I have been unable to confirm the surname of Eliphalet Hubble's wife. I used to think she was Elizabeth Ransom, but have ruled this out. Eliphalet was the son of Justus & Waitstill (Bishop) Hubble of Salem Westchester NY who moved to Washington Co., VA (Sinclair Bottoms/Chilhowie) area. A fellow researcher suggests that there were some land records between Eliphalet and a family surnamed Whitehouse (Frances & John M.) in Washington Co., VA. Would appreciate it if someone could confirm this & tell me what these land records were.
