Thank you very much."Gains" may actually have been Gaius, with a little spelling goof along the way.He was born around 1867/68 , in RI, and did marry Etta M. Young, who was born in Ct.They had a son Gaius, who apparently took over his father's business in Providence, RI.Gaius Sr. at first dealt in wagons, buggies and related equipment, and his son appears to have branched out into other areas.I do not know much about him at this point. The family did live in Seekonk, which is close to Providence, and would have been "suburbia" at the time, very much country.Gaius Sr. left Seekonk for Peoria, IL around 1915 (with his secretary), apparently deserting his wife. She filed for divorce in 1930, was granted it in 1931.She died in June of 1954, in Seekonk, and he in 1933, in Texas.A semi-sordid tale, to be sure.If you have any other information, I would love to hear from you again.Thanks.
