Elijah6, b. May 1, 1734; bap. June 9, 1734; m. 1st Mary Raymond, June 28, 1757 and 2d, Abigail Bishop, Feb. 25, 1768. Lived in Norwalk, New Can. Par. (prob Wilton) and Pawlingstown Dutch Co., NY; d. Oct. 8, 1804. Elijah and wife Mary owned cov. N.C.chh, May 21, 1758. Elijah adm. N.C.chh., Oct. 5, 1766, and his wife Abigail, July 15, 1770. Wife Mary d. June 12, 1766. He had chil. Bap. In N.C. from 1758 to ’76. Will rec. at Poughkeepsie, NY, dated April 6, proved Dec. 19, 1804. He was then of Pawlingstown, Dutchess Co. NY. He gave his wife Abigail one-third of his land in Wilton, CT. Stephen Hoyt, of Franklin, D. Co. was a witness.
Was the son of (2819) Benajah and Dinah Hoyt.
