You are correct about Simon's wife. The information in the previous post comes from the standard Hoyt genealogy, some of which has been disproved. There is no passenger list for the "Abigail," so we can only make an educated guess that he came in the Higginson fleet. He wasn't the Simon who married Deborah Stowers, and the last name of his wife Susannah was probably not Smith. You may have found this discussed elsewhere in the forum. Good that you have browsed the forum, because there is often very good and reliable information posted here and at the ancestry.com forums (along with plenty of erroneous material). If you haven't seen it, here is a good biography page for Simon's family:

But, it doesn't sound like you know you are descended from Simon. There is also John Hoyt, an early New England progenitor of many descendants. I guess you have more legwork to do. Good luck!
