David,
My ancestor was Simon Hoyt who sailed from England in 1628 on the "Abigail" and settled in Charlestown, Mass. Was in Dorchester by 1630, Scituate, Mass. by 1635, and Windsor, Conn. by 1639. Rec'd. land grant at Fairfield in 1649, lived there until shortly before his death at Stamford, Conn. He had 3 children by his first wife, Deborah Stowers:Walter, Nicholas and John. By his second wife, Susannah Smith: Mary, Miriam, Moses, Joshua, Samuel, Benjamin, and Sarah.

I do have more info.

Ron
