We have traced our HOYE roots to Dartford, Kent and London England.

We would like to contact distant HOYE cousins perhaps still living in London.

Searching for the descendants of the sons of Richard and Elizabeth Hoye:

Harry Alfred Hoye born 1844. 1871 London census, spouse Elizabeth, 2 children-Elizabeth and Mary.

Felix Edwin Hoye born 1850. 1891 London census- spouse Alice. Children Charles K. age 2, Alice-5.

Richard Hoye, born 1853. 1881 London census- Vauxhall Br. Rd. spouse Amelia. 4 children: Edith 8, Burtrey 6, William F. 4, Ellen 2.

Our Hoyes of Nebraska, Canada and California are descended from Richard and Elizabeth Hoye's son, John Hoye born 1836, married to Sarah Birch. They moved to Nebraska around 1865. John and Sarah Hoye on the 1861 census are living on Vauxhall Bridge Rd., London.

Richard and Elizabeth Hoye married in 1835 St Paul Covent Garden. They originally lived in Dartford, Kent and we believe moved to London around 1851-53. On the 1871 London census Richard Hoye Sr. is living on Vauxhall Bridge Road with daughters Emily, Jane and son Richard. In 1881 Richard is living on Vauxhall Br. Rd. with daughter Jane Hoye, dressmaker, age 30. Richard Sr's profession on various census is listed as horse dealer, horse appraiser, collector and veterinary surgeon. He died 1886.

Richard and Elizabeth Hoye had 3 living daughters- Emily Pallo, born 1846; Mildred Elizabeth, 1848; Jane Margaret, 1851.

Please contact me if you are related or can provide more info. Thank you,

Paula Miller
