I found a 1910 Census showing Thomas A & Annie Hoy, Thomas born 1868 Mississippi, with a son Harry 1 year old in 1910. In 1920, T A Hoy is widowed with a son Harry, 10 years old.
Thomas' father was born in Ireland, mother in Miss. There is also an 1880 census which should give you Thomas' parents and his grandparents birth places. Does this Harry's birthdate fit with your Harold's? When I look for Harold, I get a 1918 and 1922 birthdate in Arkansas. Would these work better? I could not find a Harold Hoy who died in TX at age 71. Perhaps he was known by Harry. If you want these I will send them to you. Post your email address if it is not current or email me at There is a Harry Hoy born 1909, died 1980 in El Paso. I think this is your family from what you know.
