This is great information and I am sure that others appreciate this as much as I do and I thank you for putting it on the internet so all of us can read it. For the record in case no one knows this, William and Sarah Hoy's daughter Parthenia married John DeJarenette and he was killed in the War of 1812 and evidently buried on the battle field. They had 4 children, John who died in infancy, Mary Ann who married a Owens and lived in Bourbon County, Doscis (spelled several ways) married William Butler and lived just southwest of Camargo, Kentucky in Montgomery County. Then there was Sophia that is my line, she married Rev. Samuel Lytle Harrison of Jefferson County, Ky. and they lived out their lives in Knox County, Indiana. When John DeJarnette was killed, Parthenia remarried to John Sappington and they had six children from that marriage. They lived about 6 miles south of Mt. Sterling, Ky in Montgomery County, just west of Camargo about two miles. John Sappington and Prathenia Hoy Sappington is buried in Sappington's personal cemetery that still exist today. The land was sold to build a house on it and when they figured out that there was an old cemetery, they changed their plans and put the house on an angle and made the front yard a restored cemetery. Tombstones was scattered everywhere and not knowing where they should be placed, they laid them in nice rows, flat on the grown so they can mow over them. In the process of time, someone got the idea to record all of the tombstones in the county and mistakenly changed the name of this cemertery to Parrish Cemetery, named after Parthenia's son-in-law Grandison Parrish. I do have the names of Parthenia and John Sappington's children if anyone wants to know.
