Hi Bob,
I am not surprised with your' findings regarding Hoys in passinger lists. I have been and will continue to look for my Hoys. They were John and Anne Hoy with a son Patrick. Landed in Charleston 1804 from N-Ireland. Likely sailed from Belfast.
Keep looking and if you run across them please post.
