Pvt. Samuel Hoy served in the militia from Amagh Township, Cumberland Co. PA. He served under Capt. Robert Samuels, 8th Bn. He moved from Cumberland Co. abt 1788 to Franklin Twp., Westmoreland Co. PA. He MAY have been the father of Catharine Hoy who married Jacob Adams.
