Hi Karen,

I am a Danish Hoy also, but my family landed in Brooklyn, NY and stayed there. There were 4 brothers that came over and had families in the NY/NJ area from 1881-1890. My family was from Egernsund in Southern Jutland. Where were your's from? Are you by any chance connected to the Hoy's that were in Franklin, Louisiana? There was a group there fron the late 1870's-1930's. That group is distantly related to my Hoy line.
