Michael, I am interested in some of the history of James Hoy( where he and his family came from), and information about his children. As an aside for you but of great interest to me is the information on a "non Hoy" Elisabeth Thomas. She was the youngest child of James's wife, by her first husband, Nicholas Thomas. The records show that when the James and Maggie married Elisabeth, was given up for adoption to a family by the name of Schaffer. I wounder if Elisabeth stayed in contact with her mother after the adoption.

Also I am courious as to where James and Maggie meet. I would assume they lived in the same area. Do you have any cencus data on James? (State, county, township, pg. enumeriation dist) This could be before or after they wed.
Anyway anything you could conveniently share would be appreciated. You can email me directly at Thanks a lot, Mike Wise
