At Waupan, Wis., on the 30th day of May 1866, by Rev. Henry S. Fish,
Mr. Stephen H. Hibbard, of Chilton married Mrs. H. Pillsbury, of Trenton, Dodge, Co. Wis.
"Steve" was a member of the 14th and afterwards of the 48th regiment of this State. He was a brave soldier and is an obliging
and accommodating neighbor. His numerous friends will be pleased to learn that his patriotism has been rewarded by the smiles
of a handsome widow. We are aware that several of our female friends are disappointed at this unexpected turn of affairs, and all
the consolations we can offer is to advise them to keep "hoping on" even if "Hope deferred maketh the heart sick"
--------
Harriet Lovina Parker's first husband...
Albert Henry Pillsbury was the son of Granville Pillsbury and Harriet Lovina Parker.
Granville was born 1835 and died in 1864. Granville entered the Service March 30, 1864.
He was from Pewaukee, Wisconsin. He was taken prisoner of war and died
12/25/1864 in Salisbury, North Carolina of disease. I don't have the
marriage date of Granville and Harriet but beings Granville died in 1864, it
is a possibility that Harriet married soon after. Granville was the child
of Timothy Pillsbury and Mary Giles. Granville and Harriet had son Albert Henry 11/2/1863 in Dodge County,
Wisconsin.
