Hi Cyndy,put "Howitt family history"in Google and the whole site will come up.You can contact Ed from there.What you are trying to do is quite difficult,so you have to start with someone at a date you are sure of then find a male child then follow through to his marriage,then his children till eventually you arrive in 2000.You have probably wasted your money with a researcher as they can only go backward in time,and you want to go forward.See if you can get anything from the old lady.I should have told you my g/gmother was Elizabeth Howitt the youngest daur of James and Elizabeth Howitt.They were weavers in Glasgow.If you wade through Eds site you will seethe family although technically they are not of his line.
