mid 1800's Howe in IL
I am seeking information about a Margaret Howe who married a Michael Morris (Michael is believed to have come from Ireland).Their son William Owen Morris was my husband's great grandfather.William was born in Amboy, IL in 1861.He married Sarah Isabelle Morey in November of 1883. William worked for the railroad. We have found no information about Margaret Howe but my husband's father who was named "Howe" after her was told Margaret was from the Lord Howe line. Her family may have came from the UK.Also, a letter my husband's father's sister wrote in 1976 indicates that Margaret died early as William (and a brother, Jim)had a stepmother.
Anything anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Magda
