OBIT- Alice M Paul-Murray, 81, dau of William and Charlotte[Knowlton] Howe
Alice Marie (Howe) Paul-Murray, 81, of Natick, passed away peacefully in her home Thursday, May 6, 2010, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard Paul Sr. and the late Thomas Milty Murray. Born in Framingham, the daughter of the late William and Charlotte (Knowlton) Howe, Alice was raised in Framingham and Ashland. She was a proud waitress at Kens Steak House in Framingham for 18 years and then an integral fixture at the family business, Natick Cab. Alices true calling was being a dedicated and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a great cook who enjoyed decorating and spending time with family and friends, and will be fondly and lovingly remembered by all whose lives she touched. Alice was the devoted mother of Richard Paul Jr. of Natick, Janice McFarland and her husband, James, of Marshfield, Katherine York and her husband, Charles, of Natick, Kenneth Paul and his wife, Cindy, of Berlin, Conn., and Allison McFarland and her husband, Joseph, of Manchester, Conn.; cherished grandmother of Jenine and Dan Rollins, Johanna, Juliette, Jimmy, Chuck, Michael, Nathan, Julia, and Joey Jr.; and great-grandmother of Elli and Maggie. She was the dear aunt of Katie Goudreau and her husband, Pete, of Natick, Terry Lapworth of Holliston, and her late husband, Arthur, and the late Charlotte Turgeon. Alice is also survived by her step-children, Thomas Murray and his wife, Maureen, of Dedham, Cynthia Bouzan and her husband, Ralph, of Franklin, Kathy Murray of Blue Hill, Maine, and Karen Murray of Washington; and many step-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law, Charlotte and Arthur Lapworth. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Alices Mass of Christian burial on Monday, May 10, at 10 a.m., at St. Patricks Church, 44 East Central St. (Rte. 135), Natick. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery, South Natick. Those wishing to remember Alice may do so through memorial donations to MetroWest Home Care and Hospice, 85 Lincoln St., Framingham, MA 01702. Arrangements are entrusted to the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home of Natick.
