Shirley Louise Richesin, 63, of Athens, died Sunday, June 28, 2009, at Life Care Center of Athens.
A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, she was preceded in death by her father, Robert F. Howard; one son, Jimmy T. Richesin; and one son-in-law, Bryan Sewell. She was a member of Idlewild Baptist Church and was a former employee of Athens Mattress.
Survivors include her husband, Herman \"Tom\" Richesin of Athens; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Kristy Sewell of Athens, Beverly and Todd Fleury of Decatur, and Julie and Gary Sisk of Athens; her mother, Inez O\'Daniel Howard of Athens; one brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Elizabeth Howard of Athens; five grandchildren, Doug Richesin, Brandon Sewell, Kobe Sisk, Sarah Sisk and Gary Sisk; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Idlewild Baptist Church with Dr. Bill Dawson and the Rev. Scott Packett officiating. Burial will follow in Idlewild Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Billy Phillips, Robert Phillips, Clint Crisp, Matt Crisp, Mark Hall, Stacy Garren, Robert Johnson and Delbert Taylor.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
