The original post you replied to was over 4 years ago, I am amazed it is still available to post replies to...just the same I do thank you for your interest in that posting.
I have posted a quote from your posting, this is done to show proper subject application. I believe that through the many posting from myself and many others on the Howard forum, that we have shown the lack of any connection between the colonial or gateway Howards and the ducal line of Howards. If you are taking your authority from a family history as you infer from your posting, then I would suggest you research the sources given in that book and verify that they do indeed prove your claim from the ducal line of Howards.
It has been a while since I checked any Howard information, but to the best of my memory...no new or further research has been done to verify any such line of descent from any Howard line back to the Dukes of Norfolk.
