Why would any of us need to do a Y-DNA test? And you pay for the Y-DNA Testing? Also are you going to pay for the exhuming of the Hovis/Hofius grave sites to get the DNA? You can tell just by photos(George Hofius Jr)(and a artists drawing of John Hofius in the Mercer County History book) of us Hovis/Hofius men we are the blood line of Johan Theodor Hofius, his son John Theodor Hovis Jr,so goes the blood line from which ever brother was your Great Great Great.........Grandfather or which ever generation you fit into.We start with John T Jr,his son William, his son Peter, his son William Paxton, (I have a photo of William Paxton, which looks like George Hofius Jr),his son William Boyd, his son William Edward(WWII Marine)(my Grand father),his son William Leon(US Army Veitnam ERA)(my Dad),his son (me) Michael James,(still serving US Army NG)(from the Cold War ERA),then my son Joshua Michael and my brothers William Elwood and Steven Leon...........we are the Cochranton Pennsylvania Hovis's when William Paxton settled in Cochranton.
