Thanks for replying. I have been in touch with Bob Hovis about George and Lucinda. Moses Hovis third wife, Christina, was my greatgreatgrandmother. She married Moses in 1859 and did not have children with him. I am trying to verify that George and Lucinda were his or her children. On the 1860 census they are listed with the last name of Sipes which is Christina's first husband's name (my greatgreatgrandfather). Apparently, later on, Lucinda used the last name of Hovis, which was not unusual for stepchildren to do at that time. I have no information on George and would like to know about him also.
