Searching for information about my gg-grandmother, Lavina Hovey Willcox. According to census information she was born about 1807 in Ohio. She was married 1 June 1826 to Asahel B. Willcox in Medina County Ohio. They migrated to Clay County, Mo., where Asahel died about 1842. She is listed on the 1850 census back in Summit Co. Ohio. In 1860 she was listed on the census in Shelby Co. Mo. with her two sons Edwin and Asahel. She died sometime before 1868, when the Clay Co. land was sold. If Lavina (Lovina) fits into any Hovey family you are researching, I would appreciate hearing from you. Marilyn Bauer
