Liza Josephine "Josie" Housley was born to Frank and Mollie Housley on October 20, 1869, in Montgomery Co. Ar.. After her parents died (1872 and 1873, respectivly), she was sent to live with a sister, 16 years her senior, by the name of Tennessee Lizabeth, and her husband, William C. Liversy. Per record this couple had no children. At age 16, on June 26, 1886, in Roseville, Logan Co. Ar., Josie married Wilson Hall (Known as Henry), age 35, and reportedly a Cherokee Indian. He had two daughters, Lucy and Leona, from previous marriage. Josie and Henry had four children; Maude (b.8/20/1887), May Pearl (b. 12/31/1899), Lee,(?) and Claude (?), the only son. May, reportedly, said she was five years old when her father died (abt: 1894), making Mr. Hall 43 years of age at the time of his death.
