Tracy,
Ambrose was a prison guard at the Salisbury Prison (I think). I did see that somewhere. Look at the Salisbury Prison site.

What do you have on William and Elizabeth? All I have is their names. There are 4 William Houses in the NC 1790 census. I found William House (B:1795/D:1829?) Married in about 1815 to Elizabeth. Three children: John Jackson House, Miranda House, and Ellen House. They were in Union County.
