Thanks for writing back. My tree with Andrew's family is pretty complete up through his grandparents, William and Elizabeth, and I have tons of family links on findagrave. I was really hoping to find stories and possibly a picture of Andrew. I have pictures of Ambrose. There are quite a few of him on Ancesrty.
The only story I do know is that Ambrose and Andrew both were prisoners during the Civil War and were released at or near the end of the war. Andrew's son, Jackson, was a well known business man who started up many businesses in the early 1900s in South Charlotte.
That's about it.
I will check out Union Library. Charlotte Main Library is also very good, but it is hard to get to and ya have to pay for parking.
Thanks again
Tracy
