Dear Mary, I am also a descendant of Joseph Houlton and Sarah Putnam through their daughter Polly who married Ebenezer Warner. Polly and Ebenezer had a daughter Fanny who married John Russel Williams. Their daughter Ida married Elmer Estabrook and had my grandfather Bion R. Estabrook. I have started gathering quite abit of info on the Houlton family. I imagine that you have already seen the book "The Story of Houlton" by Cora M. Putnam. The picture there of Joseph Houlton and Sarah Putnam, I have scanned into my computer file. I can send it to you if you like. I would love to exchange family info with you. Which child of Joseph and Sarah are you descended from? I do have alot on the Houlton and Putnam ancestors, which it sounds like you already have. I'd love to know more about the Houlton lines in Maine. I know their children, but only some of their grandchildren. I look foward to hearing from you. Thanks. Barbara Estabrook (barbara54@juno.com) P.S. My Estabrook family settled in Amity, Aroostook Co. and the nearby Estabrook Settlement along with alot of the Williams family.
