I transcribed the entry for David Houghton from the book "Biographical Review of Lee County, Iowa", and it's now available online at http://www.rootsweb.com/~iabiog/lee/br1905/br1905.htm
This is the David Houghton who was born 23 Oct 1840 (Orange Co., Vermont, USA) and died 23 Dec 1923 (Montrose, Lee, Iowa, USA). David Houghton is my 3rd great-granduncle, and his sister Melissa A. (nee Houghton) Hamma is my 3rd great-grandmother.
