Not sure if there is a relation.Research done by my Great-great-uncle (95 years old, retired professor at Appalachian)
Might be son of George Houck, married in 1801 to a Barbara (no last name given).They had a son Jacob Houck b. 1822, d. 1902.I'm descended from this branch of Houck's.
