Norbert Hotz was my great uncle, though I can never remember meeting him.His sister, though, who served as County Clerk in Madison County. IL from 1942 through 1974, I remember quite well.Eulalia (Uke) was one of my favorite relatives as a child. When I would go to visit my grandparents in Edwardsville, my sister and cousins and I would often walk down to visit Aunt Uke.She was always gald to see us, and I recall that she always had a little crystal bowl with gumdrops on her coffee table. We would search for our favorites!
My grandfater, Vincent Joseph Hotz, died when my mother was in high school, so I never knew him.My grandmother, Ora Jane Dunlap, was from a prominent family in Edwardsville. Her father had purchased a lot of land, and built a lake.Serveral of my aunts, uncles and cousins still have houses on the lake.
Vincnet and Jane had 4 children:Catherine, Janey (my mom), Vincnet Joseph and Robert. After Vincent's death, Jane married Robert Coultas. They had one child, Lee Ann.
I don't have a lot of dates, etc., but I hope this helps!
