My mother's maiden name was Alice Virginia Hott. She was born in Sangamon County, Illinois, in 1921, to Charles Herbert Hott (d. 1946) and Selena Grace Trewartha Hott. Charles Herbert was the only child of Robert F. Hott, who married Mary Elizabeth Fox on April 26, 1897, in Sangamon County, Illinois. Family lore has it that Robert F. was a twin and that his parents were divorced shortly after birth. Please let me know if this informations fits with any previous research. Thanks!
