Jacob & Magdalena (Wertz) Hoselton moved to Davenport, Scott Co, IA in 1848 from OH. Jacob is listed in the 1850 IA census, named spelled Hasselton. Jacob died 16 April 1885, Scott Co, IA. Buried Mt Joy cemetery, Mt Joy, Scott Co, IA. Magdalena died 18 July 1909, Scott Co, IA. Buried Mt Joy cemetery, Mt Joy, Scott Co, IA. There is a Leona Gay buried in Hoselton lot but no dates. Jacob & Magdalena are my 2 great-grandparents. Their daughter Hulda Hoselton Snyder, is my great-grandmother & Hulda has a sister Syrila, born 1842 in OH.
