Robert (1837-1913) was my great grandfather. He was a gardener at Cullen House (1854-1858), Penicuick (1858-1859), Blair-Drummond (1860) and Coodham (1860-1862) in Scotland and at Castle McGarret, Claremorris, County Mayo, Ireland (1863-1874). Most of their children were born in Ireland. The family emigrated to Brooklyn, New York, c1875.
This posting is already too long. I have a lot of information relating to Robert and his descendants that I would be more than happy to attach to an email if anyone is interested.
